We participated to “Ultrasuoni . Youth for Human Rights” a festival organized by Progetto Giovani Valdagno with the Municipality of Valdagno. The festival, which lasts two days, has been addressing topical issues related to human rights, migration, and different cultures and societies for more than 10 years.
During the festival there were games and activities for children and teenagers, creative workshops, a photographic exhibition, interventions by experts and volunteers from NGOs dealing with human rights.
The activities were carried out by involving the participants in various expressive workshops:
– Explanatory panels summarized the founding values of the EU;
– thematic workshops have been proposed for some of these values:
-Equality. A musical laboratory with instruments made with recycled materials aimed, in particular, at the little ones where everyone had the opportunity to express themselves freely individually and in groups.
– A pictorial laboratory where in unusual ways (blindfolded, with feet, with the brush in the mouth, using the hands) fabric supports were freely colored.
– Dignity. With the use of a television and access to the Internet, the participants were involved in a quiz on smartphones with questions related to European values.
-Human rights. A goose game was proposed for children, explaining European values with simple and concrete examples.
